Department of Mechanical Engineering

About

Mechanical Engineering is the most diverse and versatile among all engineering disciplines. In addition to physics and mathematics, it encompasses key elements of aerospace, electrical, civil, chemical and even materials science and bio-engineering. Mechanical engineering touches virtually every aspect of modern life, from mobile phones and biomedical devices, to aircrafts and power plants. Not only engineering, mechanical engineers deal with economic issues, from the cost of a single component, to the economic impact of a manufacturing plant.

The Department of mechanical engineering was established in 2010. The Department offers 2 Programs Namely: B.Tech. in (Mechanical Engineering) and Diploma in (Mechanical Engineering). The department of mechanical engineering is continuously striving to attain excellence in education, academic and industry oriented research to prepare the engineers that are globally competitive and capable of leading in industry, academia and government organizations in both India and abroad. The major strength of the department is its highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty and well established top-quality of laboratories with state-of-artinfrastructure and equipment. The department can boast of very well equipped laboratories and centralized workshop that caters to the need of the entire Institute.

Vision

The vision is to emerge the department to be a leading-edge technical pioneer through collaborative research, education, training and innovation

Mission

M1. To deliver a high-quality education to train the future leaders with skills and abilities.
M2. To set up a center of excellence to pursue research in Emerging areas and enhance knowledge base in cooperation with organizations and academic institutions.
M3. To inculcate values leading to holistic learning.
M4: To encourage students’ entrepreneurial as well as technical abilities.
