About

The department has a vision to become a leading Centre of Excellence for Education and Research. Since then, it has been widely recognized for its excellent research and teaching capabilities. It offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree program in Electronics and Communication Engineering. This department has established itself as an efficient, self-reliant and quality conscious entity with the sole aim of producing the most energetic, enthusiastic and professionally competent Electronics and Communication Engineers with ability to take up the challenges of the field.
It aims to deepen the knowledge and skill of the students on the basic concepts and theories that will equip them in their professional work involving analysis, systems implementation, operation, production, and maintenance of the various applications in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. It now encompasses more areas than before, being thus a modern and important profession for the industrial sector, the scientific fields and for technological development. It has well experienced and dedicated faculty. The department has well equipped state-of-art laboratories. Carried out research work by the faculty and students has been published in various journals and international conferences at various international and national level.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs):

PEO1. To enable graduates to pursue higher education and carry out research or have a career in Engineering career in industries associated with Electronics and Communication Engineering or as an entrepreneurs.
PEO2.To ensure that graduates will have the ability and attitude to acquire new skills and adapt to emerging technological changes in the industry.
PEO3. To ensure that graduates will be professional and ethical in their work, contributing to the advancement and development of society.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs):

PSO1. Design, develop and analyze electronics systems using electronics and communication engineering and mathematics.
PSO2. To apply principles of electronics and communication engineering and practices for building high quality communication systems.
PSO3. To adopt emerging electronics and communication engineering technologies for producing solutions to current societal problems.

Program Outcomes (POs):-
PO I:
 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO II: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO III: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO IV: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO V: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO VI: The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO VII: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate the knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
PO VIII: Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
PO IX: Individual and teamwork: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
PO X: Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
PO XI: Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
