Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology has excellent separate Hostel facilities for boys and girls. The hostel is in a separate spacious and airy 4 storied building, is located within the college campus. Students are monitored by wardens in both hostels.

Closure of Main Gate of Hostels
- It is mandatory for all the hostelites to possess the identification card duly signed and issued by the Hostel authorities. It is directed to produce on request by Security.
- The college campus gates will be closed by 9.00 P.M (Summer) & 8.00 P.M (Winter) for boys living in the hostels and the gates of the Girls hostel will be closed by 7.15 P.M (Summer) & 6.00 P.M (Winter). The gates will be reopened only at 6.00 A.M.
- Any hostelite coming late after the closure of the gates in the night shall call the respective Wardens for permission to enter into the hostels. If permission is granted, they shall surrender the Hostel ID to the security and record the reason for late coming in the late night register.
- Repeated late comings will be brought to the notice of the parents and further disciplinary action will be initiated.
- The ID cards surrendered to the security shall be collected from their respective Wardens the next day.
- The time between 10.00 P.M. to 6.00 A.M. is exclusively meant for study and sleep. No indoor games, loud music, speakers, or disturbances are allowed during these hours.
- If a student goes out of the Hostel for more than 24 hours or on leave, he/she must inform and take prior written permission from their respective Wardens and HOD.
The hostelites must compulsorily sign in the attendance register brought to their room by the security after closure of main gates. (For Girls)
Visitors Entry
- No hostelite shall permit any outsider in the room. Visitors or guests are permitted only during daytime with permission from the respective wardens.
- The visit of boy students to the girls hostel and vice versa is prohibited.
- Visitors are not permitted in common areas like Gym, TV lounge, indoor games area, bathroom, or toilets. Visitors found after 6.00 P.M. will be sent out by security.
- Parents/guardians or family members may be permitted into hostel rooms only with prior permission from the Warden/Secretary.
T.V. Room Timings
- The T.V. Lounge/T.T. Room will be OFF at 10.00 P.M. except on special occasions permitted by the wardens.
- All hostelites should ensure that common areas remain vacant and unobstructed.
- No commercial or unauthorized activity shall be permitted in hostel premises.
- Throwing garbage or waste materials outside hostel windows/balconies is strictly prohibited.
Code of Conduct
- Hostelites should ensure cleanliness and avoid obstructing common areas.
- No commercial activities shall be permitted inside the hostel premises.
- Students found throwing garbage outside hostel premises will be fined.
- Playing football, cricket, or similar games inside hostel premises that may damage property is prohibited.
- Hostelites should avoid shouting, loud singing, or causing disturbances.
- Protection of hostel property is the responsibility of all inmates.
- Unauthorized internet access may lead to seizure of computers/laptops.
- Students must observe proper morality, conduct, and behavior within hostel premises.
Activities Banned / Forbidden
- Ragging or interference of any kind is strictly prohibited and may lead to expulsion.
- Birthday celebrations are allowed only inside rooms without disturbing others.
- Handling hostel equipment improperly, scribbling on walls, or bursting crackers is prohibited.
- Smoking, alcohol, drugs, gambling, dangerous weapons, and pets are strictly prohibited.
- Students are not allowed to enter hostel premises in an intoxicated state.
- Mess utensils are not permitted inside hostel rooms.
Use of Appliances
- The use of immersion heaters, electric stoves, heaters, or irons inside rooms is forbidden.
- Private cooking in hostel rooms is strictly prohibited.
- Audio systems causing inconvenience to others are not allowed.
- Students should switch off fans, lights, PCs, etc. before leaving rooms.
Collective Responsibilities
- General damages to hostel property will be the collective responsibility of hostelites if the guilty person is not identified.
- Hostelites should avoid activities that endanger personal safety or others.
- All traffic rules inside the hostel campus must be followed.
- Students should report any unwanted incidents or suspicious activities to wardens.
- Two-wheelers must be parked properly in designated areas.
- No functions, meetings, picnics, excursions, or parties are allowed without permission.
- Students should maintain cleanliness and avoid using non-biodegradable materials.
- Hostelites are responsible for the safety of their personal belongings.
